The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of the freedom to marry on June 26, 2015, striking down marriage bans in all 50 states and giving the freedom to marry same-sex couples nationwide. For over 15 years The French Quarter Wedding Chapel at 335 Rue Burgundy in The French Quarter has been committed to the union of two people in love, regardless of race, sexual orientation, or creed. We are so happy to be part of history by participating in equality in all marriages between two loving adults adult.
This has been a long time coming, and we are truly touched and honored to be able to continue to serve not only the brilliantly diverse community of New Orleans, but to welcome the influx of couples who choose to get married in our beautiful city. We see this as a prosperous move for the souls and pockets of New Orleans. We will honor all same sex commitment ceremonies that we have done in the past by signing new marriage licenses. Just bring your original keepsake certificate and official Louisiana Marriage License, and we will be glad to sign the license free of charge. It truly is a historic time to be alive.
